Did you know that an estimated 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size? Wearing the correct size not only improves the look of your clothes but significantly impacts your posture and daily comfort. Let's walk through how to measure your true size at home.
What You Will Need
- A soft measuring tape (cloth or silicone)
- Your best-fitting, unlined bra (no padding or push-up)
- A mirror
Step 1: Determine Your Band Size
While wearing your unlined bra, wrap the measuring tape snugly around your ribcage, just right under your bust. Make sure the tape is level all the way around.
If the number is even, add 4 inches. If it's odd, add 5. For example, if you measured 30 inches, your band size is 34. If you measured 31 inches, your band size is 36.
Step 2: Take Your Bust Measurement
Wrap the measuring tape loosely around the fullest part of your chest (usually across the nipples). Keep the tape level, but don't pull it tight. Round up to the nearest whole number.
Step 3: Calculate Your Cup Size
Subtract your band size from your bust measurement. The difference in inches determines your cup size:
- 1 inch = A
- 2 inches = B
- 3 inches = C
- 4 inches = D
- 5 inches = DD/E
